1. White Water, the 40-foot-long, 16-foot high masterpiece of geometric stainless steel sculpture, created by Robinson Fredenthal in 1978, has a new home on the grounds of the Woodmere Art Museum in Chestnut Hill. White Water was originally commissioned for the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority’s Percent for Art Program in the Independence Mall Urban Renewal Area. White Water is the latest outdoor sculpture to appear on the museum’s verdant landscape. Woodmere’s CEO, board members, donors and trustees attended a pop-up sculpture party at Woodmere on June 12. Woodmere CEO Bill Valerio, Julie Jensen Bryan, Carolyn Healy, Steve Senter, Ruth Ann Fredenthal (the artist’s sister), Heidi Nivling and Larry Becker gathered in front of the imposing sculpture during the pop-up event.
