1. Two days of fun and shopping at Holy Child Shops, took place at The Philadelphia Country Club
on Thursday and Friday, November, 17 and 18, 2016. More than 25 vendors showcased their items and
twenty percent of all purchases benefit Holy Child School at Rosemont. Holy Child School is an independent, coeducational, Catholic school, Nursery through 8th grade, that is accredited by the Pennsylvania Association of Independent Schools (PAIS). It is a member of a national network and an international community of Holy Child Schools. It took place on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Aronimink Golf Club. Proceeds benefit the programs and services offered at Paoli Hospital, party of Main Line Health. 1.  White Dog Haverford in Haverford Square held a night of informal modeling by Ella’s Grove and jewelry designer Joie DiGiovanni on Giving Tuesday, November 29, 2016.  The event was a benefit for Hill Top Preparatory School, a facility that provides life-changing experiences for bright and creative students who struggle to achieve academic and social success due to performance-based learning differences including ADHD, high functioning Autism Spectrum
Disorders, specific learning disabilities, or anxiety. Both Ella’s Grove and Joie DiGiovanni  donated 10 percent of items purchased at the event. Joie DiGiovanni and Nikki Selden paused for a photo with some of the beautiful pieces from Joie’s jewelry collection.

1. A champagne reception and fashion presentation showcasing the ”Top Trends for Fall & Resort 2016”  took place at Neiman Marcus, King of Prussia, on Wednesday, November 30, 2016. The event was a benefit for Our Closet, powered by JFCS. Our Closet is a volunteer-driven program with the goal of providing the basic need of clothing to vulnerable individuals and their families throughout the Greater Philadelphia region. They distribute clothing free of charge by operating “pop-up shops” as well as providing emergency response packages to community members in crisis. Their target population is low income infants, children, adults, and older adults within the Greater Philadelphia region. 1. The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s Women’s Committee hosted its 2016 Holiday Boutique at Merion Cricket Club. An annual tradition, the Holiday Boutique is a signature fundraising event, supporting patient care, research and education through the Women’s Committee’s grant process. This year’s event featured a preview party on Wednesday, November 30 and Shopping Day on Thursday, December 1. Shopping Day was open to the public for $10 at the door. 1.The 14th Annual Jefferson Gala took place on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown. This year’s Gala honored Bill McDermott with the Award of Merit for his civic and philanthropic leadership and hysician honoree Edmund Pribitkin, M.D., MBA, FACS, was presented with the Achievement Award in Medicine for his contributions to medical science and compassionate care.

1. On Wednesday, December 7, 2016 The Chestnut Hill Volunteer Committee presented a gem of a luncheon at The Philadelphia Country Club in Gladwyne. The event offered shopping opportunities for jewels, accessories, baked goods, chocolates, and much more! Proceeds support The Philadelphia Orchestra’s fundraising efforts. The Volunteer Committees for The Philadelphia Orchestra were formed in 1904, four years after the Orchestra’s first concerts. The Women’s Committee, as it was originally called, was the first permanent organization of its kind in the world, and has since come to serve as a model for similar groups in the U.S. and abroad. This year’s Jewel was donated by Farnan Jewelers of Wayne.
